Crazy Belts at Madrid Games Week

posted in: Crazy Belts, Gaming industry | 0

Last week was a real madness for us. But a really delightful madness!

Crazy Belts was launched in Desura in November 3, with a contest for the Infinite Mode: every challenger who joins the global leaderboard can win an Amazon voucher by the end of the competition in November 30. You can check the rules here: http://www.desura.com/games/crazy-belts/news/crazy-belts-worldwide-contest-launched

Only 3,99 $ / 2,99 euros and you can obtain 100$… it really worth the shot!

And after the launching, we went to Madrid Games Week. From November 7 to 10 we take part of the indie stand brought to the fair by Made in Spain Games, where you can also buy our game (thanks a lot for the chance, pal!). We introduced Crazy Belts to the public, sharing space with other Spanish studios: Kraken Empire, Beautifun Games, A Crowd of Monsters, Drakhar StudioDeconstructeam, Teku Studios and Evil Mind. Great companions on this sailing!

It’s been an exhausting long-weekend, but we’ve learned a lot. Many people came to our stand to try Crazy Belts; we discovered what aspects of the game are more likely to succeed, and which others have to improve or maybe change to give a better gameplay experience.

Also we had the opportunity to contact with a lot of talented people trying to enter into gaming business. We got a lot of resumes and 3-4 cm tall business cards stack crowded of really great people from game development, music and art.

In addition, we had the opportunity of being interviewed for several podcasts, youtubers… and also we barely apeared at Spanish TV!!! Our presence online has changed dramatically since then. Just put “jemchicomac” or “Crazy Belts” in your browser and you will see tons of references on gaming blogs speaking about us. Really worth it!

So we still have a challenging road in front of us, but also a lot of energy and excitement. Our mobile version will be in Google Play and the App Store very soon. We hope to give you a better game than we thought!

Crazy Belts is ready for Desura!

Hi there! We’ve been silent for a while but we’ve had good reasons. It’s been two months of hard work and many things have changed for Crazy Belts… good things indeed! First of all, we got the chance to be included in Groupees’ Build a Casual Bundle 2, along with other great casual titles, from October 7th to 15th. It was a great experience which helped us to complete our desktop version of the game and create some new artworks, like the new and funny box you see up there.

Now comes the second great step for Crazy Belts… Desura!

Yes, we’ve been approved in this platform and we’ll be launched in November 3. Preorders are open in our page here. Or just click this beautiful banner below:

Crazy Belts enters in Alpha stage in Google Play!

Today is a great day for jemchicomac and everybody involved in the project.

We’ve entered in Alpha stage in Google Play.

We have choosen to distribute the app to a limited list of people that has showed interest in the project in the past. We are using the Alpha testing feature from the new Google Play Developer Console. With this feature, a group of users, defined by a Google+ community or a group in Google Groups can get an early access to apps.

For these users, the app is available in Google Play as any other regular app:

Automatic updates also works, simplifiying the way we distribute the app to the testers. Google+ community will be used also to host feedback and any other activity of this nascent community.

Still, there is a lot of things to do prior to the commercial launch in November:

  • No music and special Sound Effects
  • Play only 25 levels instead the +50 of the final version
  • Level of difficulty has not been fully adjusted

BUT you are going to be able to try the gameplay and enjoy with the dazzling puzzles and the action in the cargo facilities where every second counts and there is no room for the human error.

Every week we will release new versions including all the remaining features and your suggestions. Then, when the launch time arrives, you will have a complete version of the game with access to all the levels and extras for free!!!

What do I need to do to join the Crazy Belts alpha testing program?

You need to own an Android device with a Google Play account properly configured. If you have a non-Apple device and has downloaded apps you are ok.

During the next week we are going to accept new people joining to the program, please send an email to . You will receive an email back with all the instructions to participate.

What do I commit to becoming a tester?

We just need your help improving the game. If you find any problem, bug or suggestion please let us know in the Google+ community or sending back an email to us at

We will relase at least a new version of the game every week up to the commercial launch in November. Please check if your comments or suggestions are taken into account. We will try to solve any bug in the next available release.

I do not have an Android device but I also want to join the program. What should I do?

No worries, send us an email back to  and we will send you the desktop version of the game. Weekly updates will be manually done by your side but we will be in charge of sending you the new version every week.
